To submit online, fill out the request form on the city's website at ofallon.mo.us/requests-for-public-information. Select the type of record you need, and include the subject's name, type of incident, location, date, and purpose of the request.

For in-person requests, visit the Records Division at 1019 Bryan Road during business hours. Bring a photo ID. Mail requests can go to the same address with a written description of what you need. O'Fallon Police Records Fee Schedule

Fees follow Missouri Sunshine Law standards. Standard paper copies cost up to $0.10 per page. Research and staff time is billed at the actual hourly rate of the lowest-paid staff member capable of the work. One example request for police statistics covering multiple years came to $27.00 total. For identity theft reports, the Records Division will provide a copy of the police report at no charge when requested for use with banks or credit bureaus as part of the victim process.

For more complex data requests, the department will calculate a fee estimate and send it to you before beginning work. You must approve and pay the estimate before the search starts. Processing fees apply as soon as the department begins research, not just when copies are made.

Note: The Records Division reviews all records before release to protect closed or confidential information under Section 610.021 RSMo. Portions of a record may be redacted if they fall under a Sunshine Law exemption.
